WHAT ARE VIA FERRATAS?
Via ferratas are sports routes equipped with steps, cables, pegs, ramps, handrails, clamps, and in general all types of devices to guarantee safety of users and facilitate their progression, ensuring that the ascent is carried out safely by people not used to climbing.
WHO ARE THE VIA FERRATAS AIMED AT?
They are suitable for mountain lovers who want to try new emotions in the mountains to whom pure and simple climbing does not attract or produce much respect. Also for climbers who have not practiced for a long time and in general people with an adventurous spirit who want to try new and stronger experiences. It is a highly appreciated activity among young people and not so young people for whom an activity like walking is not enough. It is advisable to have a minimum of physical fitness and to have a relative familiarity with heights.
EQUIPMENT AND SAFETY
Access to the Via Ferratas is FREE, although if you are inexperienced we recommend being accompanied by a guide. The minimum equipment necessary to enjoy via ferrata is composed of a helmet, harness and an energy dissipator with approved carabiners. If you do not have any of these elements or need the complete equipment, there is the option of renting it.
VIA FERRATA CAMALEÑO
The Camaleño via ferrata is located in the town of Los Llanos halfway on the Potes – Fuente Dé highway. Its impressive views of the Eastern Massif of Picos de Europa and its logical and spectacular design make this route the most spectacular in the Picos environment.
The route consists of 3 pitches, the first two are for beginners although in the first we find a technical step, while the third has three possibilities, the first consists of crossing a Tibetan bridge followed by an area of 3 overhangs considered as K4, The second is an escape route that climbs vertically to the summit and does not present difficulties (K2) and the third, recently released option, is a very difficult traverse route that goes to the edge of the roof with 2 free steps and strong overhangs, only recommended. for people who have climbing skills (K5).
Without a doubt, it is a route for all audiences due to its multiple options that allow each person to find the most appropriate path to the summit.

RENTAL HOUSE SCHEDULE
Summer hours, (July 1 to September 17), weekends and Easter: 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Starting September 18 lthe booth will remain open every weekend until November.
We will have 3 times a day to do the via ferrata with a guide:
– 9:30 in the morning
– 12:15 in the morning
– 17:00 in the afternoon
